水解酶β-內酰胺酶的產生是
細菌對β-內酰胺類抗生素產生抗性所採用的策略之一。
適應的一些主要機制如下 :

擴展光譜β-內酰胺酶（ESBL）生產者
AmpCβ-內酰胺酶
金屬β-內酰胺酶（MBL）
肺炎克雷伯氏菌碳青黴烯酶（KPCs）
其他超級細菌如 耐甲氧西林金黃色葡萄球菌（MRSA）
耐萬古黴素腸球菌（VRE）
目前葯敏實驗檢測包括

耐甲氧西林金黃色葡萄球菌（MRSA）、
耐萬古黴素腸球菌（VER）、
耐青霉素肺炎鏈球菌（PRP）、
超廣譜β-內醯胺酶（ESBL）的檢測 、
β-內醯胺酶等。
